Architect
Biography
Becoming an architect, a childhood vocation for Mariella who holds a degree from H.A.I. Sint-Lucas Gent and further studied at the Raymond Lemaire International Centre for Conservation of the KUL. For over twenty years she was partner of a Brussels-based architectural practice and started working as an external free-lance architect for DDS+ in 2018. She joined the team on a full-time basis in January 2020. Mariella brings over 30 years of experience in architectural design and project implementation. She managed and supervised a wide variety of projects ranging from private residences to large assignments and handles new constructions as well as renovations and reconversions programs. She enjoys creating places to live and love, and particularly rethinking small spaces to optimize their user-friendliness. Fluent in Dutch, French, and English, she loves social contacts, contemporary art, skiing and dogs.
