Ir architect
Biography
As soon as she graduated in architectural engineering (Faculté Polytechnique de Mons), Leila joined a medium-sized Brussels practice where she worked for eight years. She then spent a year in a smaller team, until her desire to take on bigger projects prompted her to join the DDS+ team in 2021. She was able to work on various projects – sometimes from start to finish – ranging from renovations to new builds in both private and public sectors, and including apartment buildings, single family homes, and industrial projects. Aware of the importance of environmental issues, and the constant evolution of building standards and techniques, she regularly takes part in seminars and training programmes (energy management, EPB certification, circular economy, etc.), while adding to her substantial architecture library!
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe once said that “architecture is frozen music” – a motto that Leila has applied since the age of six, devoting much of her spare time to her passion for music as a pianist and keyboard player.
