NovaCity: 18 months of construction
The 58 subsidized housing units and 5 non subsidized housing units, installed on a first floor of 7600 m2 dedicated to productive spaces, offices and showrooms for actors in the "sustainable construction and renewable energy" sector, which constitute the NovaCity project in Anderlecht, are progressing rapidly. The construction site, which started in 2020, is expected to finish in early 2023.
The project, result of a Citydev public contract in 2018, winner of BE.EXEMPLARY 2019, challenges the boundaries between city and nature, between living, working and producing. NovaCity is a piece of city with transparent borders, a mixed and sustainable urban neighborhood within a green mesh that encourages social interaction thanks to multiple shared spaces.
