Networks NØR unveils its new face
Located in the heart of the administrative district of Brussels North Station, the renovation of the Networks NØR office building is being completed; it will soon be occupied by its new owners, the Régie des bâtiments. This heavy renovation allows to reach the current passive criteria and to obtain the BREEAM "Outstanding" mention.
The first images of the building's exterior envelope, which has been completely renewed, reveal an entirely glazed and dynamic façade. From the Avenue Albert II, the façade is carved out by a series of projections and recesses, sculpting the volume and interweaving the floors to reveal a rooftop slid between two floors. On the rue du Marché side, cascading terraces offer generous, well-oriented outdoor spaces with unobstructed views of all of Brussels.
The facades are clad with a graphic lace, screen-printed with a vertical appearance. The function of this lace is to provide privacy to the occupants in relation to the outside environment and to contribute to increasing the energy performance of the building. It brings rhythm to this glass monolith and the reduction of this grid forms the very motif of the silk-screen printing... It's all about the details.
