Mixed functions, mixing people. A district where young and old meet in shops, restaurants and common spaces.
The entire DDS+ team was able to discover the Papeteries de Genval project on Friday, February 11, during a visit organized by the team in charge of the project. The construction of this vast new mixed-use district, located between Genval's city center and a Natura 2000 zone, began in 2013 and is expected to be completed in the spring of 2022.
A shopping promenade, a wide variety of housing, a residence for the elderly, spaces dedicated to liberal professions, … it is the mix of functions that makes the richness of the Papeteries de Genval. Within this new district, residents and shoppers of all ages mingle in the many public outdoor spaces that line the heart of this open-air shopping center. The park, located near the Natura 2000 zone, as well as the forum and the promenade along the Lasne River - which has been restored and rehabilitated as part of this project - create a safe and friendly multigenerational atmosphere.
