Discussing BIM
Last Wednesday, a roundtable took place at our office in order to explore and discuss the IFC format (Industry Foundation Classes), a neutral and open file format that enables information exchange between different CAD applications and other software used in the construction industry.
Participants of different fields and offices joined this BIM (Building Information Modeling) discussion: our architects Maxime and Renaud, several architects and engineers of Jaspers-Eyers, CERAU, A55, B-Solution, general contractor BPC-CFE and representatives of the Belgian Building Research Institute (BBRI). A very interesting session, orchestrated by prof. Samia Ben Rajeb and PhD student Charlotte Englebert of the ULB BATir department.
